On Monday, December 18th, Mira Weiss, Esq. and Chelsey Gottlieb will guide attendees through the increasingly important and complex topic of guardianship law. Focusing on the fundamentals and life-cycle of guardianship under Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law, she will highlight the roles and responsibilities of key players, and address the impact of guardianship on other areas of law (e.g. real property, trust and estates). Additionally, if time allows, she will discuss the emerging constitutional issues of guardianship for the developmentally disabled.
